Colleen opened Smart Solutions on July 1, 1993 as part of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. At that time, the agency was known under a different name. Since the agency started, Colleen has worked to increase the business. Smart Solutions now serves 300+ employer groups, and 1,700 individual/family plans. She currently serves on Intermountain Health Care and Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield Agent Advisory Boards. She served on the United Health Care Advisory Board from 2011-2013, and on the Altius Advisory Board from 2007-2012. Colleen served as the President of the Utah Association of Health Underwriters from 2012-2013. She was also named one of the “30 Women to Watch” by Utah Business Magazine in 2008. Colleen is an expert in her field, and will cheerfully answer any questions you have, and provide outstanding service for all your health insurance needs!
Director of Operations
Jeff worked in the mortgage industry from 2002 to 2012. In January of 2012 he decided to get out of the mortgage industry, and came to work as the Director of Operations of Smart Solutions. Since coming to Smart Solutions, he has helped to streamline the day to day operations of Smart Solutions. He is in charge of the technology aspect of the company, making sure that we are utilizing technology to provide the best customer service possible. He is also the liason between Smart Solutions and the different life insurance agents that we work with. He is also one of the specialists for individual plans available on healthcare.gov and off of the health insurance marketplace.
Director of Customer Service
Marilyn began working for Smart Solutions back in 2002. Before coming to Smart Solutions she worked at Zions Bank. She heads up the customer service department for Smart Solutions. Marilyn has an amazing ability to figure out how to fix problems in a way that makes our clients very happy. She is a great asset to Smart Solutions, and is ready and willing to help our clients!
Customer Service Representative
Stephanie started with the company in January 2015, and has been an enthusiastic and energetic addition to Smart Solutions. Prior coming to work for Smart Solutions Stephanie worked for Northwestern Mutual for 23 years. For the last 17 of those years, she worked as the Executive Assistant to the Managing Partner. Stephanie has a cheerful personality, and is extremely helpful in any task she does!
Customer Service Representative
Milissa joined Smart Solutions in 2018. She has more than 25 years of Human Resources management experience, and benefits administration.
Before joining Smart Solutions Milissa worked in Human Resources for an advertising agency in Farmington, Utah. There she established and maintained strong, and compliant human resource practices. Her expertise is in managing and maximizing employee engagement.
Milissa is a strong believer in the power of positive thinking and the importance of superior customer service.
Rhee began his career in insurance and financial field in 2011, working as an agent with Northwestern Mutual. In 2015, he switched companies to focus on individual health and employee benefits, including qualified retirement plans . He worked closely for several years with former Smart Solutions Vice President Nathan White, and enjoys continuing today the relationships they built with their shared clientele. He works closely with Smart Solutions staff to ensure that all clients experience outstanding customer service while receiving the best education possible on insurance products available. He lives in Bountiful with his wife and three kids.
